The Teacher Training Subject Committee met on the 14th and 15th of November in the University of Kaunas. The committee has been informed that the University of Luxembourg will be a new addition to the ever expanding group. This all been heartly welcomed by the committee given the under representation of French speaking universities in the workgroup. The primary work undertaken dealt with the bilateral talks between each member University to establish the compatibility matrices. The committee also expressed their commitment to contributing to the goal outlined in the EUF CE Strategy plan of 1000 students by 2008 and preparations are already under way to increase numerical participation at local level. The Teacher Training study programme will engage seven CE Universities in 2006/2007.

The meeting was attended by Wilfried Hartmann (Chair of the Subject Committee, University of Hamburg), Eleanora Bielawska-Batorowicz, (University of Lödz), Dainuvite Bluma, (University of Latvia), Nilza Costa (University of Aveiro), Krister Persson (University of Örebro), Ilse Schrittesser (University of Vienna) and by Margarita Tereseviciene (University of  Kaunas), who kindly hosted the meeting.
